Carpal Tunnel

The carpal tunnel is a narrow passage through the wrist that is made up of the bones of the wrist on one side and a large ligament of the wrist (transverse ligament) on the other side.

Symptoms Include

  • Pain in wrist and hand
  • Numbness
  • Pins and Needles
  • Weakness
  • Can cause Headaches

Causes

  • Fall onto the hand
  • Repetitive activities (especially computer use)
  • Nerve impingement at the neck
  • Arthritis
  • Misalligned wrist bones
