Gonstead Chiropractor
Dr David Addie was born and raised in a large family in Invercargill, New Zealand. The most southern city in the world situated at the bottom tip of the south island. He left school at 16 to complete a carpentry apprenticeship. He worked as a carpenter for the next 16 years on projects all over the world. David sustained a severe back injury at work in the late 1990’s and was informed by a specialist that he would never work as a carpenter again. He decided to consult a chiropractor and consequently was back at work in 6 weeks. As a result of this transformation David decided to dedicate his life to helping others achieve their full potential through chiropractic care.
After 3 years of applying and many hours at night school and attending university courses in New Zealand, David was accepted into the 2000 chiropractic intake at RMIT University. Dr David Addie graduated as a chiropractor from R.M.I.T in 2004. He exclusively utilises the highly specific and effective Gonstead method of chiropractic. Since graduation, David has worked in Cairns, Geelong, and Melbourne. He is passionate about bringing safe and effective chiropractic care to the community. His special areas of interest are Acute Low Back Pain, Sciatica, Headache, Carpal Tunnel Pain and Ankle/Knee pain. The youngest patient he has seen in Clinical practice was less than 24 hours old and the oldest was in her mid nineties. David’s aim is to help every patient to get out of pain and reach their full potential in as little time as possible.
After working and travelling in as far flung places as Britain, Israel, Europe and North Queensland he decided to put down some roots. David had first fallen in love with Ballarat when visiting the town back in 1991.After careful consideration he and his family decided to relocate to Ballarat in 2016 and love the laid back vibe of regional living.
David’s main hobby through his life was rugby which he enjoyed as a player for 30 years. These days outside of work hours he enjoys spending time with his family, camping and hiking.
